Dr Tiri Chinyoka holds a PhD in Applied Mathematics from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University (Virginia Tech, USA). He is currently a member of the academic staff in the Department of Mathematics & Applied Mathematics at the University of Cape Town (UCT) and is a member of the Center for Research in Computational and Applied Mechanics (CERECAM) research group at UCT. His research interests are in the field of modelling and analysis of complex fluids and flows. He has served as a Vice President of the South African Association for Theoretical and Applied Mechanics (SAAM).
