Mathieu Rouget is a Professor at the University of KwaZulu-Natal and the holder of the SARChI Chair in Land Use Planning and Management. His research focuses on the interface between biodiversity conservation and human activities on issues such as alien plant invasions, climate change, effective conservation planning and implementation, and ecosystem services.
