Amanda Weltman

Amanda Weltman holds a PhD in Physics from Columbia University in New York. She has specialised in the fields of cosmology, string theory and theoretical physics and is well known for proposing the Chameleon particle that may explain the accelerated expansion of the universe. She is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Mathematics and Applied Mathematics at the University of Cape Town, she has worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the Centre for Theoretical Cosmology in Cambridge.
